About

Hello everyone,

My name is Pamela Myers.   Thank you for visiting my Medical Reference Blog.  If you don’t find what you are looking for, please do let me know.

I am not a veterinarian, nor in the medical field. The only *formal medical training I have is from my time as a human nurse’s assistant back on the 1960’s.  I have been interested in, and have had a great love for everything animal related ( both wildlife and domesticated animals), since I was old enough to walk.

I was born in 1943 and I have used my many productive years to gain a lot of hands-on experience with all forms of animal related topics and have collected a lot of research, due to being around animals, as well as owning my own pets and working in rescue.

I have worked with various rescues, and I have held both, a State and Federal license working for the DEC in New York as a Wildlife Rehabilitator in the 1980’s.

Just before, during and after, the 2007 Pet Food Recalls, I collected a vast amount of information on the Commercial Pet Food Industry for which I have a separate blog.  I am still collecting and posting.   My food Blog can be found here:  http://letstalkpetfoods.wordpress.com/

This Medical blog is meant to act as a reference/index, for quick access to information out on the internet, rather than my own personal writings.  Many people just do not have time to do a ton of research and this gives them a place to get a general idea of an issue and some links to work with to do further research and at least a place to start.

Enjoy!
